I'm the Jason mentioned in Gleb's article/rant! I have to say, when I first saw the previews of this movie, I was prone to cringe... I didn'tthink that Speed would be done justice by being brought to life... And not just Speed, his fantastic car that I love! The Mach 5 was a car that I have always viewed as my dream car. And I was so concerned that they were going to mess it up... Everything looked off in the first preview that I viewed... But as they went on, I got more and more pumped... This was going to be a Movie that I couldn't miss! While I didn't like the Mach 6, the race with the Mach 5... I loved every second of it! And when Gleb and I left the movie, we both said the same thing. The critics that reviewed this movie obviously wern't fans of the cartoon! Aside from the fact that I'm not a writer as my uncle is, I'm going to leave it at this... You are absolutly right. This movie was given an unfair look by critics who knew nothing of Speed Racer.
