Steve Jobs and iTunes wins again!

All the major studios have made a deal with iTunes, to sell digital downloads of all their new movies at the same time that the studios DVD’s and Blu-ray discs go on sale. The studios involved are Fox, Warners, Paramount, Sony, Universal, Disney, Lionsgate, Image Entertainment, and First Look. Downloads will cost $14.99 for new releases and $9.99 for cataloge movies or the studios older movies. Why is everyone on board with it now? Its Simple DVD sales are down.

As for me, I’m not a big fan of watching movies on my computer. This is the reason I have a bad ass 61 in. 1080p HDTV, HD-DVD player, a Blu-ray player, and digital surround sound system. Movies are meant to be seen like movies. But then I am a huge fan of movies. I’m not knocking down iTunes at all, I think its great! Its just that I wont be buying my movies from iTunes.

As pricing goes i think it should be a third less than what was mentioned.
