Bale will not be Robin Hood! Sam Riley will!
Wait. Who? Ain’t it cool recently debunked the rumor that Christian Bale was going to play Robin Hood in Ridley Scotts Nottingham film, but they didn’t say who it would be. Then today over at Latino Review who have many many trusted sources. Of course they backed up this trusted source by listing his or her resume of breaking news. But this person tells them that:
“…Russell Crowe wants Sam Riley who played Joy Division lead singer Ian Curtis in Control to play opposite him as Robin Hood. It’s not official yet but they will most likely get Sam Riley for the role because Crowe loved his performance in Control. “
Now I have never heard of this guy and I have never seen a movie called ‘Control’ so I have no idea what to expect. This is not 100% sure. We will most likely find out sometime this week if it is or not. Personally the best Robin Hood so far has been Disney’s Fox. Here is a pic of Sam Riley to give you an idea of what the Hood my look like.
I guess they decided to go with not a good looking Robin Hood? But he looks English, and he will most likely sport an accent, so lets see what happens.
Venkman Out!

If you don’t know who Sam Riley is then you are completely lost wanker, his performance in Control was sublime, and if you hadn’t seen it yet it shows you are a pseudo-cinema critic. I think he’ll do better than bale, and yet, that’s not the hottest Sam picture

I’ve heard Control is a great film. I am currently awaiting its arrival in the mail so I can watch it, so hopefully I wont be a lost wanker much longer. I think Ridley Scotts Robin Hood is going to be amazing! The guy knows what he wants in a film.
Sam Riley has not even been approached to be in this film as Robin Hood or anyone else.
Aussie actor Steve Innes was touted as a Robin Hood fill-in but it look like he will be King Richard now instead, a travesty as he would make a great Hood.
Crowe in fact is losing interest and his credibility and friendship with Ridley Scott are damaged may not even be involved in the film for much longer and casting agents have already been selecting new faces to fill other roles that may be vacated by others as people get fed up with waitng for this bloody film to begin.
Crew are twiddling thumbs and moving on to other projects as are cast and no one really feel this movie can or will go ahead in the way it was envisioed.
I’m not sure where people are getting their information from or is it just rumor spreading?
Miller is long gone and will not be returning.
Bale is not involved and was not approached.
Riley is not involved and was not approached.
Crowe is not confirmed as departed but still could be and at this stage is only to play one role now, not two and it is not decided if the role he will take is to be Robin Hood or the Sherrif.
Innes is not playing either role of Robin Hood or Sherrif opposite Crowe as fist claimed and it now looks like he won’t even be playing King Richard as he may have to move on in order to fulfil commitments elsewhere and is returning to Australia for filming with Vinnie Jones, Andie MacDowell and Colin Farrell before heading to Dubai and London for the new Dune remake, where he will play the Harkonnen wanker originally played by Sting in the 1984 David Lynch original.
And bear in mind, Nottingham may not even go ahead at all.
WHO IS STEVE INNES??? WIL SOMEONE PLEASE PLACE A PIC OF HIM ON ANY FUCKING SITE??????
CKAT, your kidding right? You would know Innes if you saw him and he's prolific.
There was a good photo of him in the May (US) edition of Who magazine and if you spends a few bucks and subscribe to IMDB Pro (the paid industry section) it's all there, even his contact details, agent and everything.
If you can find a recent Youtube video – it's since been taken down (why? why? why?!!!!) yuo will see Innes's awesome auditon and screen test video for Mad Mx IV.
He actually arrived in full black leathers and an actual V8 Inerceptor Coupe – his own and it looked so awesome.
Seems the studio had it taken down as it breached the strict secrecy surrounding the casting of this movie.
Look, Google, and you'll find him.
There is an answer for you about Steve Innes.
You want info on Steven Innes?
He's from Perth, Australia. Age about 40, 6 ft tall, brown hair, blue eyes, looks a lot like Russell Crowe but I think he is more like a younger Richard Chamberlaine who sounds like Richard Burton.
He was a soldier, cop and ran a big security company.
He's now an actor, writer in radio personality in Perth.
Earlier post was correct; IMDB has everything on him but he had a website 'steveinnes.net" but it doesn't seem to be up now., or at least I can't get into it.
Has agents in Perth, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur(!) London and L.A.
He is supposed to be the new Mad Max.
