Rob Zombies ‘Tyrannosaurus Rex’ Hicksville Poster

Venkman Here – I wasn’t expecting this. Rob Zombie has yet to impress me. I don’t know what it is but it is hard for me to get behind his movies. Maybe because they are just so bad, and what he ended up doing to Halloween is unforgivable. I’ll just forget it was ever made. He seems to like using the white trash angle in all of his movies and it really isn’t that interesting. Allot of people liked his ‘The Devils Rejects’ movie, but I ended up walking out of it because I thought it was so bad. I never walk out of the movies! I just felt I had much better things to do. So here is the new mock poster to his upcoming movie from Dimension Films ‘Tyrannosaurus Rex’ I have no idea what this movie is about but its got 3 hillbillies with guns drawn. Will they fight a T-Rex hick style? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. if your a Rob Zombie Fan I’m sure you’ll love it. Also, if you want to please tell me why you think Rob Zombie is a good filmmaker. I am interested to know what your opinion is.

Well, I really didnt like House of 1,000 corpses but Rejects and Halloween were good. I like his gritty style. Rejects and Halloween were more down to earth being that the Rejects were just people who were “good” at killing, they werent superhuman and I liked the personalities they had. It made certain parts humorous and made you think “ok, they dont have everything figured out. And they are just making do with what they got.” Halloween too had the superhuman thing left out which made it more acceptable to me. The whole Michael Myers never dying thing without an explanation just got old during those movies. I still dont know why he cant die. But Zombie’s movie made him human which was great because it made it believable. He was just a huge psycho who had a blatant disregard for anyone in his way, he had an objective and he tried to see it through. Him getting killed at the end made it seem like closure for all those shitty sequels. Yes, I agree that he uses that white trash thing to death though but Im sick of seeing preppies and rich kids getting killed, its kind of cliche. But thats another thing that makes it believable to me anyway. Anyone that has grown up in a shitty little town like I have will see the relation to “those people” in the movies. Not that my family was anything like the Myers (quite the opposite actually) but I can understand why Michael would possibly not have a sense of remorse after listening to people like Ronny and the bullies at school. I dunno, I hate to analyze films but I can see why you might have disliked these movies. I almost walked out of Land of the Dead, the monstrosity that was. But now I just try and watch movies for their ridiculous plot lines and stupid cg effects, it makes them more enjoyable when you watch movies like an idiot and pretend not to notice stupid crap.
