New James Bond Theme Song by Jack White and Alicia Keys

Well here it is folks the full theme song to the new James Bond film The Quantum of Solace. I think it is awesome! The music was done by Jack White and Alicia Keys. They sound amazing together. I totally dig the style. This is by far the best James Bond theme song to come around in a long long time. I have to say its my favorite one so far. The guitar horn riff if pretty kick ass! Listen to it!

    ugh. awful song.

“View To A Kill” and “The Living Daylights” are the best Bond songs in my opinion, though Casino Royale’s was pretty good too.

  2. rpmcmurphy on September 18th, 08

I know that this is just my opinion, but Jack White is brilliant. I have to agree with the Doc on this one MRR. This is one of the greatest theme songs for the series.

  3. Ingrid on September 20th, 08

I think it’s pretty awesome, I love the instrument cords they used for the song, though both Alica Keys and Jack White singing together get at one point a bit rough, and Jack’s voice is either loved or disliked, though I think he sound’s killer in this song. hopefully it’s released soon, and I’m sure the James Bond crew will make quick work of it, I cannot wait for the movie!

i liked the song, its funky. jack whites vocals were awesome too

I think it is hard to get a better song than Chris Cornells which i thought was brilliant. Iagree that view to a kill and living daylights were excellent. This song has a great orchestral score but the two together sound scratchy and its true that you either like Jack or dislike him. I disliked him here and this will appeal to few Bond fans

Are You Guy’s all fucking Alzheimer’s stricken!!??!?!?!?
the best James Bond theme to Date is “Nobody does it Better”
from The Spy Who loved me I think.
And have you forgotten “We have all the time in the world” by louise Armstrong???!??!?!
    Sheesh!
but it’s a good song I agree. and certainly one of the better new ones.
But I might recall being more impressed by casino Royal ’s tune I’ll have to check.

think this is made up of bits from other bonds songs if you listen to it,could have been better in my opinion re the actual singing part of it very similar tracks!!dunno yet if i do like it and thats second time of hearing it so undecided!!mind you it also took me a few listens to enjoy chris cornells track for casino royale so who knows, think this could be divided amongst bond soundtracks?

this song is very powerful but without the hudge sound I’m not sure there would be much left
it’s all about the in your face arrangements but I think it works for that purpose
and having it coming right after a crazy opening scene with bad ass daniel craig I’m almost certain there’ll be no one to criticize the moment
by the way I hate alicia keys but I think there’s some genius in Jack White even if I’m not a big fan

  9. Darren on October 24th, 08

Well, personally I think that “You Know My Name” by Chris Cornell is a helluva lot better, great beat and almost instantly recognisable as something that has come out of James Bond, I love Alicia Keys in this song, but Jack White should have done something else with his time.
James Bond needs a strong MALE voclaist, yes it is very sexist, but James Bond is a strong male, and this should reflect in the title song.

What a load of absolute shit. Are you people deaf?

John Barry is going to vomit when he hears this crap.

Embarrassing. At least a guy like The Edge or David Arnold followed the style and excitement of what 007 is.

    OMG!!! WE THINK ITS TERRRIIIBBBLLLEEEE!!!!!!!!

THIS HAS GOTTA BE THE WORST BOND SONG!!!

FIRSTLY THE THOUGHT OF AMY WINEHOUSE SINGING THE BOND SONG IS SHAMEFUL, AND NOW THIS? PLEASE, HAS ANYONE GOT ANY COMMON SENSE OR RESPECT FOR REAL TASTE!

  12. Tim on October 28th, 08

Super song I have lisen to it like 5 times now and it’s just get better and better
It was a very good intro music and matches the intro perfect.

This song absolutely rocks! If you don’t enjoy this style of music, you are missing out. If you do, check out The Raconteurs – Jack White’s “new” band – you will love it.

  15. Rick on November 7th, 08

Oh, one other thing… Live and Let Die was an awesome theme song as well.

  16. Wiseman on November 8th, 08

Utter crap this is the worst James Bond song for the 21st Century. If you want to hear a great Bond theme then Garbage “The World is not Enough” does the trick.

This theme song totally rocks — I love it more every time I hear it. Jack White is a genius, and he really pulls off a very Bond-ish sound, without being like anything that went before. I like the staccato chorus especially.

I also really liked “Live and Let Die” but some of the Bond movie theme songs have been bland lullabies, like “Nobody Does It Better.” And that theme by Garbage?? Ugh, how apt. The video is ugly grotesque, and the song is just boring and does not move me at all.

I like Another Way to Die not only for the song itself, but also for the cool music video shot with Jack White and Alicia Keyes. Actually, I like it better than the “Quantum of Solace” trailers I’ve seen so far.

  18. TDavis on November 19th, 08

“Another way to di-hiiiiiiiii” That’s what this song was. It was awkward, too technoish at parts, and the vocals were subpar. Especially by Aliesha Keyes. I normally like Jack White, but this was terrible. Chris Cornell’s Bond song for Casino Royal was splendidly amazing, but as I was watching the new Bond I just kept waiting for the song to get better and it never did. It was irritating and I’m dissappointed by the Bond Franchise on their choice for Quantom of Solace (an otherwise good film)

    Horrible, very Un-bond song

  20. plunjer on December 17th, 08

Totally awful song !!! Bond gone all hip-hop now ? Chris Cornells effort was much more in tune with the Bond theme and sounded fantastic. The vocals in this White/Keys rendition just sounded mismatched and screechy. I kept praying for the movie to start just so the theme would end ! I thought this was the worst Bond song ever, and realized from reading numerous online reviews that I am not the only one that feels the same.
