If you are like me and enjoyed the first Night of the Museum then you were pretty stoked when you read about a sequel being made. The premise of the first movie was based around a security guard who is security at night at the New York Museum of History and at night when he’s on duty all the exhibits comes to life. The second takes place at the Smithsonian Archive.

Ricky Gervais is playing the role as a humourless man unsuccessfully trying to be funny.

He added that the change came about after he watched the first film.

“When I saw it and realised it was this really feel-good movie for kids, I decided to really let myself go this time,” he said.
