I am not a racist person, and our country has come a long way in sixty years(President Obama, who'da thunk it then?) but that's just the thing about Captain America-he was created in the 1940's, so no matter how open-minded we are now, it was a different time, and there's no way the Captain would be black. They had segregates units and everything. Captain America became a Champion for equal rights though, and, briefly his role was assumed by a black man-the Falcon, aka Sam Wilson. However, I'd pick Jaime Foxx to play the Falcon over Will Smith. But I'd love to see him in the Avengers sequel. If by nice spin you mean make the story ridiculous, then good call.
