John was correctly criticizing someone who was either being pretentious with their knowledge of Spanish, or presumptive thinking that English speakers on an English language website would understand the message, or a Spanish-only speaking person who was trolling in order to be a tool. I doubt John's response was about the defending the movie. The Spanish post offended me too, but not because I think American made movies are better. Most foreign originals are much better than the American copies. I just don't jump into French or Spanish conversations with a comment in English…and on top of that proclaim how much better the English language product is. That's called being a douchebag, and that's what Carlos was guilty of being.

The movie Quarantine was a remake of the Spanish film, REC which came out a few months before. A good number of people who have seen both versions prefer REC.

So someone thought and said the original was better. Does it offend you that someone thought differently?

Was a paragraph-sized post aimed at belittling said person really necessary?

I would have left but there was nothing better to do for me at the time and I didn’t want to waste the money I had spent to watch such an intelligence insulting clunker…

Plus, apparently, in this day and age, if you walk out of a film then you are denied your opinion of it because you ‘didn’t see it all the way through so you can’t judge it.’

Ugh…Please…

translates to:

The spanish movie was much better.

…Seriously?
Who tries to shoot down people who liked the movie by saying the spanish version was better?

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Full of plot holes, lame development of character and situation (if at all), massive cliches and to top it off, it wasn’t even original.

Yuck.

The ending was in the trailer. I was practically waiting for that scene once the movie got going and we saw just how bad it was.

JT – Are you serious? This is one of the most un-scary films I have ever see! With the plotholes and complete Ludicrousness of just about everything in it, it was practically laughable! As it went on, it became very predictable. How was that scary? The people I was with and I tried guessing what was going to happen and then laughed when we got it right! – (That said, I do offer an apology to the others in the theater).

Man, i went to see this with a couple of friends…it was a really good movie…some horror films are slacking but this one pics back up the action….i thought it would not be that god but it was actually quite enjoyable…
