I hold a personal tradition every Halloween season. There is one movie that I watch religiously every Halloween. A film that has been engrained on many as one of the greatest Comic Book films of all time…The Crow.
Directed by Alex Proyas and starring the late Brandon Lee, The Crow centers around a young musician named Eric Draven who is brutally killed alongside his fiancée Shelly on the night before Halloween that is nicknamed by the locals as “Devil’s Night”.
A year later, Eric rises from the grave to exact his revenge on the thugs that killed both he and his beloved Shelly. With only a Crow as a companion and guide he wages a bloody path; one by one picking off the men destroyed him.
The movie is adapted beautifully. Although the story was a slight departure from the comic series created by James O’barr, the atmosphere and essence that truly made the graphic novel a cult classic is translated brilliantly by Proyas and his crew. The greatest aspect of this story, whether it is the film or book, is that this story is about genuine human emotion. It is about loss and pain, rage and hate. And what an un-killable person will do to exact his revenge.
Watch it and enjoy. If you are a fan of drama and dark fantasy, you will not be disappointed.

i love the crow. oddly enough i like part 2 maybe a little better only because it has iggy pop in it and that cool end scene with all the “dia de los muertos” stuff going on

the first crow is the best and only one worth watching. i have a can’t rain all the time tat.. and hopefully getting a second one from the crow… my favorite movie!

ay, im all for both movies/both parts! And hell! part 2 has stuff about dia de los muertos – how can i not like it!!! i think both r fucking awesome! But i get why some think da first is better.
