Channing Tatum on Captain America

Don’t worry there are no rumors of him playing Captain America in Marvels film! But I couldn’t pass this up. I had to post it. Cinematical recently did an interview with him and they asked him if he would be interested in playing the red, white and blue captain. His response is priceless. If you don’t know already, Channing Tatum is helping Stephen Sommers ruin the G.I. Joe movie as Duke.

Here is what he says:

“Captain America? Oh my God! Oddly enough, I just got given a book – one of the painters came up and here gave me a book. I would think about it. Maybe it’s destiny! I would definitely think about it – I just got done doing G.I. Joe, though. If Joe does well, and it doesn’t seem to be the exact same story, then I would. I don’t know. They seem to be very, very similar – almost identical. Except for the – I think he takes a serum? Like a strength serum? [But the WWII setting] could be very very cool.”

Nuff Said.

Yeah, I don’t think this will ever happen, hell has frozen over if it does. In the end, It all comes down to global warming.

I thought Channing Tatum is perfect for Cap, he'll be 30, might be too old, …I thought Paul Walker was perfect, but he's too old now. As Cap, he isn't that Duke character in GIJoe. Cap's a quiet, sensitive kid who becomes a super soldier and leads soldiers into battle.
Tatum's pretty big, 1 to 2 years to build up those arms, and some time working with acting coaches. Needs to express some emotions and orate good lines.
Lately, I'm noticing ladies picking up his GQ magazines. Helps if he attracts girls.
