‘I am Legend’ Prequel is now a Sequel

After the success of the first ‘I am Legend’ film Warner Bros came out and said “Hey! lets do another one!” Of course Will Smith has to be in it. Now if you have not yet seen the movie here is a spoiler: Will Smiths character dies at the end. So how could they continue the story? Well, they decided to develop a prequel, and it was suppose to take place several years before the original movie. Now a source from AICN is saying this is no longer the case. Rumor has it Warner Bros is going to make a sequel to the movie with Will Smith. How they are going to pull this off? I have no idea, but leave it to Hollywood to bring the dead back to life for a sequel. Their powers never cease to amaze me. How do you think they will bring Smith back to life?
I think if they try to bring him back from the dead, it would kill the whole point of the first movie. they either need to do a prequel with smith or the sequel without smith.
Maybe they will go with the original cut ending where Will Smith lived.
How will they do that if everyone so the ending where he died.
in the book he didn’t die either. maybe it’ll be some sort of dream sequence
Or maybe he just plain lives through the end of the first one. He wasnt officially dead. Its a movie..not real life…just go with it Haha Thats the point of movies!
They can't very well do a prequel, the movie took place before and during the incident. They could do something where Will Smith is turned into one of the zombies and then they use the cure on him. Or maybe they can think of something besides a cliche… Who knows, maybe WB has some sort of original material stashed somewhere.
