Frank Lloyd Wright Biopic is in the works

Lionsgate has nabbed the screen rights to the novel ‘Loving Frank’ which is a historical novel by Nancy Horan about architect Frank Lloyd Wright. If you have not heard of Frank Lloyd Wright he is only one of the greatest architects of the 20th century.

John Burnham Schwartz will be writing the script. The only other film project he has worked on is ‘Reservation Road’. Variety reports:

Escape Artists partners Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will produce with Stuart Parr and Allison Sarofilm.

“Frank” tells the pre-WWI story of the affair between Wright and Chicago society matron Mamah Borthwick Cheney.

” ‘Loving Frank’ unfolds in a unique historical milieu, yet it speaks to a fundamental aspect of human nature, that you can’t help who you fall in love with,” said Lionsgate production president Alli Shearmur.

This should be an interesting movie. Just to give you an idea of what he did here are a couple photos of some of the buildings he designed. To learn more about Frank Lloyd Wright CLICK HERE.

the movie doesn’t seem very intriguing. He did amazing for architecture, but I don’t know if you can really make a full on film about him. we’ll see

Yeah, I tried to make there really isn’t a way to put an exciting spin on it. Did the best I could.

For anyone who actually knows much about Wright’s personal history, he led a fascinating life and went through all kinds of crazy personal trials.

I think though that the guy’s genius when it came to architecture and construction in general is way too immeasurable to do it any justice on the big screen – the guy was more than an icon, if Architecture were a religion Wright would be bigger than Mohammad.
