Tim Robbins may have a role in Iron Man 2 as…

… Howard Stark, tony Starks father. So thats pretty interesting. Latinoreview got thew scoop from one of their sources and here is what they had to say:
Tim Robbins is going to be playing Howard Stark in an important flashback sequence that is going to set up the Avengers and Captain America films. Jon [Favreau] wanted to get a good actor because he didn’t think the guy who played Howard in the last film could carry such an important scene.
So there you have it. It is a rumor for now. But! A believable one. There are also other rumors floating around that Black Widow and Hawkeye will have significant roles in the plot. Take this information and do what you will it. Whatever ends up happening I am still totally stoked about ‘Iron Man 2′!

Hey Doc, I seem to recall that the Tyrant posted an article a few months ago which contained an interview of Robbins proclaiming he had never done a sequel and that he was proud of it because he thinks they are never as good. I already ranted about him being in War of the Worlds (because how is a remake better than a sequel?) but now he may be in Iron Man 2? Tim, you are now running along the lines of McG in being a jackass…..
You recall correctly. Maybe this doesn’t count for him because he is not reprising a role, this will be his first Iron Man film. So if they were to do a 3rd Iron Man movie then he wouldn’t do it because that is his sequel. I don’t know.
Ha ha. That’s true! I still think he is a great actor though.
