Jackie Chan to play Mr. Miyagi in ‘The Karate Kid’ remake

Remember that time when I told you that ‘The Karate Kid’ was going to get a reboot? Remember how much I loathed the idea? Well, we have an update in the development of that movie for you. Jaden Smith has now found his master. It makes perfect sense that Jackie Chan would be cast as Mr. Miyagi, but it still doesn’t help the fact that Will and Jaden Smith should not be taking this story and remaking it into a craptastic movie. I can see it being worse than ‘Street Fight: The Legend of Chun li’ or ‘Dragonball’. Oh yeah! To make things worse the Entertainment Weekly article also mentions who the director of the movie will be! His name is Harold Zwart and he directed a little movie called ‘The Pink Panther 2′… Booooooooooooooooooo! This production just got worse.
In the original filmed Mr. Miyagi was played by Mr. pat Morita and he trains Daniel to kick all kinds of ass crane style, but there may be no crane in this movie.
“We make sacred pact. I promise teach karate to you, you promise learn. I say, you do, no questions.”
