I decided to do something a bit different. I wanted to put my favorite TV shows and Video Games along with some of my favorite movies from 2008.
So here are my lists. Let me know what you think.

MOVIES

1. The Dark Knight

Do I really need to give a reason why this film would be number 1? It is arguably one of the best made comic book movies in cinematic history.

2. Let The Right One In

I have seen a lot of vampire movies in my day and this Swedish horror flick is more realistic than any vampire flick I have ever seen.

3. Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist

Just an all around great movie. It will take you back to your teenage years and make you feel good about it.

4. Repo! The Genetic Opera

A visual masterpiece, especially since it is a musical. It has a great story, with some great creative design.

5. The Fall

I know this movie originally debut in 2006 but we got it in the U.S. in May of ’08. A great fantasy film with a beautiful visual style and fantastic storytelling.

T.V. SHOWS

1. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

As a die-hard Terminator fan, I could not have been more pleased as to how great they made this show. Chronicles has a fantastic story and character development.

2. The Middleman

The perfect T.V. show for any movie or Comic Book geeks. This is a great super hero show which references EVERYTHING.

3. Burn Notice

If Jason Bourne and MacGyver had a kid it would be like Michael Weston. He is a modern day Robin Hood/ ex spy.

4. Battlestar Galactica

Granted this show has been out for over 5 years now it never fails to deliver. If you haven’t seen it yet, you don’t deserve to call yourself a true geek.

5. Torchwood

CIS meets NYPD Blue meets the X-Files. This Doctor Who spin off set in Wales is a fantastic sci-fi/cop show

VIDEO GAMES

1. EVE-Online

The greatest Video Game I have ever played. EVE takes place several thousand years into the future where you command your own starship and forge your own destiny.

2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

The conclusion to the epic Metal Gear story. Game play far surpasses its predecessors. The only draw back is a bit too many cut-scenes.

3. Dead Space

A great sci-fi survival horror game where headshots will do you no good but dismemberment is the way to survive.

4. Mass Effect

An epic sci-fi RPG with a massive universe to explore which will take a lot of hours of game play to complete.

5. Soul Caliber 4

Honestly its just a fun fighting game with a pretty cool character creation feature.
