Sam Raimi wants Morbius as Spider-Man 4 Villain

There has been lots of news of new about ‘Watchmen’, ‘Transformers 2′, and ‘Iron Man 2′ recently but not much has been heard about Spider-Man 4 until now. It seems that Sam Raimi has got an idea of who he wants as his villian in the next Spider-Man movie, and that villain is ‘Morbius the living vampire’. Raimi goes on to tell Empire: “I like it in the Marvel comics when Spider-Man fights Morbius,” said Raimi. “He’s really cool. A vampire! I like that combination of superhero plus supernatural.” I couldn’t agree with him more, it’s a great combination! It also takes him back to his Raimi’s horror movie roots. I was excited for The Lizard to make his appearance, but I am more excited to see a story line with Morbius develop. Don’t worry, if you you want The Lizard I am sure they will work him into the story somehow, just like they worked Hob Goblin, Sandman, and venom in the last Spider-man movie.
If your not sure who this new villain is: Dr. Michael Morbius has been a Spider-Man mainstay since the early 1970’s he was a man who, through scientific experiments with vampire bats, gains the powers of a vampire.
So what do you think? Do you like the idea of this villain taking on Spider-man?
Couldn’t agree more Doc, I like the idea of Raimi making a pseudo return to his horror days.
Raimi is probably one of the only men that will be able to do that character justice because of his horror origins. SM4 would be amazing if he pulled it off.
If he doesn’t use Morbious as a villain I think I will be a little let down. The character is perfect, interesting and different. I would love to see what Raimi does with it.
in the cartoons there was a dude on a motorcicle that hunted down morbius … and it looked just like Blade …maybe he will be in the movie 2

cheese raimi i feel so bad for you why you gotta make it so easy to hate you? Do you know how many people surrounding this earth want to see Carnage in Spidey 5 and you can`t seem to deliver a little fa-doodle into that why you gotta make me feel so bad for you? well, i`m glad you`re honest raimi.
by the way i don`t think there should or will be a Spidey 6. that is TOO much pushing for the series. Sam Raimi be serious, pay attention to yourself, in case you haven`t noticed LOTS of people want Carnage, you`re making yourself look like this, don`t you see? I really can`t see how it`d mess up the storyline if Carnage and Venom were in 5 alone, and the reason why people thought Venom sucked is cuz he ONLY got 15 min. and he didn`t fit with those other villains. Sandman got most of the fighting in that last battle, that`s why. Oh and I want Carnage to get his own suit instead of Venom`s suit, and i want Venom to have Connors suit, i don`t care if they already published that story about Carnage, i don`t give a CRAP about that. after we just had Venom in Spiderman 3 and the symbiote still awaits in connors` classroom which sets the perfect chance to use the plot of 2 very YOU KNOW WHAT villains to simply follow the story i don`t see any reason to not take into it. if you don`t have any more symbiotes in these next 2 films then you`re gonna blow it, you won`t ever get to see them fight Spiderman on screen. they have to include the symbiote in Doc`s lab since peter and him tested it so if there is no more symbiotes wat are they gonna do with it, destroy it? come on raimi, don`t be like this. sorry, that`s 4 comments in a row.
Raimi needs to be taken off for directing spiderman and he needs to stick to horror films. After how he downgraded Venom he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near spiderman. I hear he's biased towards the symbiotes which is dumb because the symbiotes are a big part of spiderman's story. People don't want to see morbius,THEY WANT TO SEE CARNAGE. And why are people saying they want to see scorpion..He sucks. Venom is to spiderman as joker is to batman..They should get jim carey to play carnage<.<

I have the original comic he first appears in. Amazing Spider-man #100. Its pretty good but I dont think he would be good in the movie…maybe though. Just maybe. I truely and most definetly want to see The Lizard though. They have set him up too long and I really like that villain, one of my top fav spidey villains.
venom died you idiots and he was terrible in spiderman 3. worst interpretation of venom ever he was so skinny like damn.
