Samuel L. Jackson is in as Nick Fury!

Well, this is the best news of the day! It looks like Samuel L. Jackson has made a deal with Marvel in which he will play the role of Nick Fury in ‘Iron Man 2′ and most likely many other Marvel films! We heard from Jackson himself a while back that no deal was set and he wasn’t sure if he was going to be back to take on the role of Nick Fury, it all came down to money. But, I guess he and Marvel worked everything out, and he is good to go! This is great news, when he popped up at the end of ‘Iron Man’ the crowed went crazy! I think everyone loved to see him play that character. So he is obviously the guy to have in that role. Variety reports:
Jackson’s deal is a long-term commitment to play Fury, the leader of the espionage unit the Shield. His deal contains an option to play the character in nine future Marvel superhero films, efforts that are expected to include “Captain America,” “Thor,” “The Avengers” and “The Shield” as well as potential sequels.
So ther it is! Right their for you in grey and white. We can expect to see Jackson and Fury in potentially nine more Marvel movies! Awesome. Any thoughts?

what? this is terrible news. Nick Fury is white. Surely there is *some* white guy on the planet who is as much of a badass as Jackson, and who would no doubt cost a bucketload less. I’m not happy with the movie adaptions of Marvel movies.
That adaptation isn’t from the movies, they did it in the comics first, hence the pic at the top of the page. The artist asked Sammy L if they could use his likeness for the new series of “ultimate” comics and of course he said yes! this is great news! I think he makes an awesome Nick Fury!
I hate to break it to you tekhammer but in the Marvel Ultimate Universe, Nick Fury is black. And the reason this is the best news i’ve had all week is because Ultimate Nick Fury was actually modelled after Samuel L. Jackson himself. So to have anyone else play the part would be a little silly and more than a lot disapointing. I’m so thrilled that FINALLY we get this confirmation. YAY Samuel L. Jackson.
Tekhammer – Nick fury is one of those marvel characters where it wont matter what color his skin is. I for one love ultimate fury, so i really appreciate the news.
