So do you feel George Lucas raped your childhood? Apparently many people do, and ‘The People Vs. George Lucas’ is a documentary that represents how people feel about George Lucas since he killed the Star Wars story with episodes one, two, and three. I love that their are people out there that are calling George Lucas a false prophet. This little Documentary looks really interesting. No matter what your opinion on George Lucas is I think all Star Wars fanboys will find entertainment in watching this film. Check out the trailer below!
Hey Doc; PLEASE READ. Wow! The same people that would not have had as good of a childhood without Star Wars are now condemning the man who brought the films to life. They seem to overlook the fact that Georgie gave them Star Wars and without him, they would have no memories at all. I do not think they would want that. I find these people that claim the prequels ruined their childhood so narrow-minded. One thing, if they hated the prequels so much, then why did they continue to watch them? I for one loved all of the Star Wars saga and although I realize that the prequels were inferior to the originals, I still enjoyed them a tremendous amount. Another thing I want to bring up is the fact that these people would have been whining no matter what film was made. The prequels to a trilogy that is arguably the best/most influential piece of cinema ever?! Especially after 16 years….the build-up left people with no option other than to have unrealistic expectations. That is why I will say it again; NO MATTER WHAT FILM GEORGE LUCAS MADE, A MASS OF PEOPLE WOULD HAVE HATED IT. This also delves into the fact that no film had ever been made like the original back in 1977; that is one of the reasons it was such a success. A kind of success that cannot be replicated. Lastly, I never understood the term “raped our childhood.” Why the hell in the world would the prequels tarnish the memory of the first trilogy? They are both very different trilogies in the sense of style, tone, and general atmosphere. It just seems to me that these people are idiotic and hate the prequels because their friends hate them. Most of these whiny little children are such sheep and cannot have an opinion of their own.
I totally agree Man is the Mann, All these people that are bashing Lucas went and saw all the Star Wars movies and if he made anymore they would all go see them as well, then continue to bash him if they didn’t like it.
