So I saw this pop up online today and wondered what the hell it was. I haven’t even heard of this movie until today, with the Russian teaser trailer for the film. Timur Bekmambetov director of ‘Wanted’ and ‘Nightwatch’ is producing this new superhero flick called ‘Black Lightning‘ and he is say’s is is the “Russian response to ‘Transformers’ and ‘Batman’.” The teaser trailer doesn’t really show enough to get us excited but here is the basic plot of the movie.

Black Lightning is the story of a Russian college student who buys a second hand car which turns out to have magical powers, yes it can fly, and it turns him into the superhero who has to protect the city.
