David Hasselhoff Talks about Samuel L. Jackson Taking on the Role of Nick Fury

As you may or may not know David Hasselhoff actually played Nick Fury in the 1998 movie ‘Nick Fury: Agent of Shield’. Thank goodness that’s over. Now Samuel L. Jackson will play Fury and I am glad because he is perfect for the role and a much better choice than Hasselhoff who recently talked to MTV about the role of Nick Fury. Here is what he had to say.

“I know Nick Fury inside and out now, but I’ve already got my validation. The greatest compliment I ever received was when Stan Lee was on the set and said, ‘You are Nick Fury. You are exactly what I imagined him to be.’”

Seems like he is a big fan of the character. As for Stan Lee’s comment to The Hoff goes, really? Either he was just being nice and lieing to him or he was really telling the truth, which I wouldn’t doubt. Either way, I don’t agree with it. Maybe San changed his mind after he watched the movie. The Hoff goes on to say:

“I tried to parlay that into doing it as a feature character because it was so successful as a movie of the week, and then I saw that Samuel Jackson was doing it, and I went, ‘Great,’ I love Samuel Jackson. He’s a friend, and he was actually a neighbor of mine. He’s a terrific choice for Nick Fury and he’ll be so frickin’ cool because he’s got an attitude. The Nick Fury I played was written by David Goyer, who did some of the ‘Batman‘ movies, and it was more tongue-in-cheek and fun than dark.

Can you imagine a Nick Fury feature film starring The Hoff? Good thing that never got off the ground. It’s cool that he is supporting Jackson as the character. Deep down inside he is probably screaming, but that’s life. We don’t always get when we want. It sounds like he had a blast while it lasted.

He sounds like Richard Hatch talking about BSG before he got a role on the show. I am sure Shatner will say some crap just like this about Chris Pine.

I’d hate to have someone else do my job and hear people rave about how my replacement is sooo much better. Typical emotion I’d say. You’re right, at least he’s sucking it up and trying to be supportive and professional about it. I am sure Stan Lee tells every barista at Starbucks that THIS is the best coffee he’s ever had. :)

After sitting through 45 minutes of the suck that was nick fury:Agent of shield(god do I deserve I medal for making it to the 45 minute mark without gouging out my eyes) what is hasselhoff gonna say nobody can wipe their ass with the character better then I can. I mean just look at the pick, the hair wasn’t right(the cigar was) the story made no damn sense. A shield without nick fury, really? thats how your gonna start out a movie called nick fury AGENT OF SHIELD. I mean there were some parts that were basically canaan, they had the flying ship, they were fighting hydra, I believe those were the families of some of the bad guys yadda yadda yadda.

But the story sucked ass. Fuck tongue in cheek that was tongue in the ass. Sorry I mean if you saw the movie I’m sure you share my pain and if you made it to the end I’ll by you a few drinks to help you destroy the brain cells that suck happens to be inhabiting. Nick fury was late 70’s early 80’s capitain america TV movie bad. I mean the movie with the blow up shield and the motor cycle. Who instead of being a frozen and then reanimated body was the son of the original captain america. God I’m about to hurl, I have thought about the surfer boy cap in the ugly uniform with the fake beach ball shield(which then got turned into a funny looking plastic shield god the suck in that movie, which I did watch the end of smdh).

Samuel L jackson can just reprise his Shaft performance(minues the getting the babes, I mean yes nick fury is badass enough to get babes but rarely do you see him with any, you just hear stories about them sometimes) as nick fury and he would do just fine. Especially since most of the nick fury’s now seem to take the Ultimate blue print. I just wish they would do that ultimates story line where cap tells dude what do you think this A on my forehead stands for FRANCE(nothing against the french but that whooole story was priceless, especially the hulk part). So sam jackson as fury cool(just tell him keep his shirt on I understand this is real life and he’s old and nobody old can keep up the comic book bodies, thats cool that’s why they make green shirts and cgi) mentioning david hasselhoff as nick fury cruel and unusual punishment.

Hoff was classy in what he said about Jackson. But yeah, stand down, Agent Hoff- you’re relieved of duty.
