We have two pictures to show you of Angelina Jolie as rouge CIA operative Edwin A. Salt. That’s right she is playing a character based on the life of a man. Actually Tom Cruise was originally supposed to star in the film and when he dropped out director Phillip Noyce and the studio changed the character from male to female renamed the character Evelyn A. Salt and cast Angelina Jolie. USA Today reports that the film has started shooting. ‘Salt’ is a spy thriller about a rouge CIA agent who tries to clear her name after she is accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. The question is she or isn’t she? Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura goes on to say:

“She’s a character you never know. People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she’s in a disguise also may or may not. You’re supposed to be kept guessing. She tells you her agenda, but are you supposed to believe it?”

As you will see in the picture below you have two different looks for the character like the TV show Alias the character will have several different looks the filmmakers say the central mystery of the story is which one is the real Salt?

The film also stars Liev Schreiber as the character Winter and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Peabody. The movie is being directed by Phillip Noyce who also directed ‘Patriot Games’ and ‘Clear and Present Danger’ which were awesome movies! So I think this film is in good hands.
