MAD MAX Going Animated for Film number 4!?

I have heard people talking about a fourth Mad Max film throughout the years, the last thing I heard is that when Mel Gibson was offered the role again he turned it down, but that they were going to go through with it anyway. This was back in 2003 when the movie was all set to shoot but then the financing for it fell through and the project died. The original writer and director of the first three movie George Miller recently sat down with MTV and talked about what he has in store for the fourth Mad Max film if it gets made.
“We’ll probably go a different route. I see myself as someone who is very curious about storytelling and all its various media, I’ve always loved anime, in particular the Japanese sensibility. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. The anime is an opportunity for me to shift a little bit about what anime is doing because anime is ripe for an adjustment or sea change. It’s coming in games and I believe it’s the same in anime. There’s going to be a hybrid anime where it shifts more towards Western sensibilities. [Japanese filmmaker Akira] Kurosawa was able to bridge that gap between the Japanese sensibilities and the West and make those definitive films.”
Apparently the plot of the film will be taken from the original 2003 script that was scrapped. Miller also wants this animated film to be a 3-D rated ‘R’ theatrical release. As you may or may not know it has been 23 years since the last Mad Max film! That just seems crazy to me. I think the idea is very interesting I am a huge fan of animation so this is something I would be very excited to see, especially if the animation is really freakin good. Miller goes on to say:
“We’re in the early stages writing and designing. A really good game you need two and half years. And for good anime you need two years.”
So what are your thoughts on the matter? Is a 3D Mad Max Animated sequel something you are interested in seeing? Oh yeah! He doesn’t want Mel Gibson involved.

NO! NO! NO! I have nothing against animation, but not for this. Part of the power of the Mad Max films is the cool, quirky, outrageous characters they come up with. I’m sorry, I don’t care how good the artists are, but an animated version couldn’t capture the personalities and mannerisms the way a live actor could. The vehicles play just as important role; they’re almost characters unto themselves. Again, animation just couldn’t capture the in-your-face, visceral action that is the strengths of the films. IMHO
i dont hate animation, a matter of fact i love it, but really. COME ON FOR CHRISSAKE!!!! could someone please tell miller to fuck off with the animation sequel, it’s only a real sequel if it’s real, fuck you george miller, thanks to these fucking anime crap they have in north america, millers mind has been warped, or maybe it’s just becuase george miller is a fucking idiot, please tell miller to go fuck himself or make the film real picture, thank you very much for your time, and george miller will not be making another mad max,road warrior, or beyond the thunder dome, george miller needs to think more about the audience then himself, tell george to fuck off and let someone who’d make more of a better sequel, even though he is the main director of the series, but he messed up this time, fuck you miller

nothing wrong with what Miller wants to do, its his ball and if he does it right it will be great.anything max is better than nothing at all.

wow lol, you really do need help, maybe you should watch a few episodes of barney the dinosaur with your wonderfull family to relax. I think a new madmax movie would be to much for you to deal with.
