Nightmare on Elm Street Remake Story Details

I am not a huge fan of Michael bay and his Platinum Dunes Production company remaking the classic horror film ‘Nightmare on Elmstreet’. But, I am a huge fan of horror movies, and in the end I am going to go see it. It’s going to be made, people are going to see it, it will make lots of money, and we will most likely get a sequel. As much as I hate the idea of remaking the this horror movie, they are doing it in a way that makes sense and the story might be much stronger.
The film is being directed by music video director Samuel Bayer.
That being said here is what you can expect from the new film.
*SPOILERS*
- Freddy is a child molester.
- Freddy is no longer a Janitor but a Gardener and handy man.
- He will come back with the classic sweater, hat, and his famous glove of death.
- Freddy does not have very much dialogue.
- They say he is a strait up scary Bastard.
- Freddy’s Teen victims are not just being punished for his death that is brought on by the victims parents but these are the kids that told on him in the first place.
- There is also a little possibility that the kids who ratted him out lied about what he had done and it was the parents that were molesting their own kids. Wow.
- One of the scripts strongest points is how Freddy’s back story will be told.
This is a crazy little horror film with a new twist, if they can pull it off this new ‘Nightmare on Elmstreet’ movie may not be that bad.

Interesting.. I’m a bit on the fence about this myself. Honestly, I’m afraid to hear who they will cast as Freddy… :\

Ally I agree, I have no idea who they will end up casting but I hope it is someone good. There were rumors floating around of Jackie Earl Haley who played Rorschach in Watchmen. I would be cool with that.
so freddy is only seeking revenge for being wronged? what the fuck kinda shit is that? why are we supposed to feel sorry for and sympathetic to serial killers now? poor dexter. poor kevin kostner in that one movie. killing is just something you just start doing when life gives you a bad haircut. or kids lie that you molest them. so then. you kill them. if this is true to be in this story, then it’s seriously fucked.
