Sam Raimi Confirms EVIL DEAD 4 with Bruce Campbell?

OK. This is just getting a little out of hand. It all started last year when Raimi Mentioned doing a fourth Evil Dead movie at Comic-Con. Since then it has been a frenzy of trying to find out what in the hell is really going on because we keep hearing different things. Yes Raimi wants to do it, but no he wants someone else to remake the original version with a bigger budget and better effects. Then Campbell comes out and says that the stories should no longer involve the character Ash. If Ash isn’t involved then who wants to see the movie? He did go on to say:
“I think there should be an end to everything,” he responded when asked whether the character of Ash is worthy of more movies. “I mean, did anyone really want ‘Indiana Jones 4′? The answer is no. I’ve taken a poll in about seven theaters now. Of 300 people, three hands go up. You are bound to disappoint.”
I think ‘Indiana Jones 4′ could have been really good if they would have done it right, but they didn’t, which is why most people didn’t like it. After seeing ‘Drag me To Hell’ I am confident Raimi could put together another fantastic Evil Dead movie. The question is will he end up being involved with both a fourth film and a remake? He recently spoke to MTV and went and told them that yes, he wants to make a fourth Evil Dead Movie with Bruce Campbell. When confronted with this question Raimi responds:
“He can dream all he wants. He’s trying to get out of getting back in shape. I’m going to kick his butt in shape. I’m gonna say ‘get back in the chainsaw!’”
So does this mean that he will be back for an Evil Dead part 4?!It sure sounds like it!
“I hope to, yes. Every time I say I would like to [revisit the films], people say, ‘where the hell is it!?!’ But I’m just glad people are still interested. But yes, I would really like to do [another ‘Evil Dead’ film]. I’ve just got a commitment to make ‘Spider-Man 4’ right now though.”
If this actually happens it has to happen right after ‘Spider-Man 4′. I want to see a fourth Evil Dead movie, I really do, but it has to happen soon! I just don’t want to hear all of a sudden that it’s not going to happen and then a couple months later Raimi telling us that it is. I’m tired of being teased! Just give us the movie already!
I really hope this movie comes through.
Bruce we loved ya in the original and the sequels, but like Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold (er um Ahnold), it’s time to hang up the guns (in your case the chainsaw), and retire.

First off even if he’s a decaying specter of a sputtering chainsaw weilding bad ass ash must be in evil dead. Indiana jones is a serious movie, they could guy escape to LA lampoon ash a little bit for the fourth movie, yes introduce a new hero(hell shia lebouf only has one hand now due to his own stupidity and he does better as a wise cracking protagonist put some muscle on his scrawny ass and let him do it, bad ass like indy no, wise cracking slacker yes) who ash has to put through his paces to understand the depth of the deadites but then let ash be put out to pasture(not dead, they may still wanna do a 5th movie if the 4th is good) and let the new Ash (just please not ash jr, didn’t work for indy) go out wielding a mossburg and a newer chainsaw.
okay … i have to say this … i just love the evil dead franchise. i do. i’m one of those peeps that will start watching the first movie in the morning and will keep on watching through the trilogy till bed time.
so yeah … what i’m saying is … MORE ASH!
and by ASH i mean … the original fella. i know i know … you see him in burn notice and your heart gets heavy but … come on … drag him on the treadmill and let him sweat till he’s ready for a fourth.

ash was kick ass… i agree that ash will always be the funniest most bad ass hero for evil dead….and bruce campbell pulled it off perfect. he was right on the money with ash…i dont think anyone else can do it like he did so i think that if bruce will not do it then by all means bring in the new guy. i wish he would do it though
There is no one else …..Bruce Campbell didn't just play Ash in those movies ….he was part of the production…..co-producer. He is the only one that can do it….there is no movie without him. It would just be a different movie. He needs to do one more with Ash's comical demise.
I agree! I have been a fan from the very beginning and Ash is a hero type character. There is no one else.If Bruce won't do the film then just let it be, but if he does I could care less if he's over weight or not. It would probably add to the Ash's character. PLEASE PLEASE MAKE EVIL DEAD 4 !!!
what would be great if they did a evil dead version of the ani-matrix. short films inside the universe.that way you would not have it look too cheesy with and older Bruce. right now bruce is perfect in burn notice.
Must have Bruce Campbell. If he's not in it. It's going to look low budget and stupid. I won't even want to watch it. Just make him older on it going back to the cabin in the woods to face his fears from the past and have all the stuff start all over again but differently. He can still do it. I say if he doesn't do it again then don't make evil dead 4 cause it's a waste of time and money. If bruce campbell does do it then i will for shure go see it in theaters and buy the dvd soon as it comes out. And i watched a video on youtube with bruce campbell talking about Evil Dead 4. And he said if he was asked to do a fourth evil dead to the series he'd say yes. So i hope that really happens and that he's not pulling our legs. So Bruce Come baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I want to hear Groovy one more time. They should make it out of The Game Evil Dead hail to the king. That would make a great movie for the 4th one. But it's an idea. So i hope sam raimi thinks straight like he used to. Cause a lot of people will be dissapointed if he remakes it with diffrenet people in it. Or if he does do the remake ad least have it where bruce campbell lives in a small shack by the cabin in the woods and have a bunch of teens go their and do like the first one went and have bruce campbell come in on the end with the chainsaw and Shot gun and start blowing all of the demons away. And help them fight it. That would be ad least good to. But who knows. I just hope bruce Will be in it. If he makes it. So please make it already so i now if it'll be worth even watching it or not.
yeah, but even some actors get better with age. I do admit that they are waiting too late to do another evil dead movie. And yes evil dead became popular years after they began to collect dust. But with makeup and computer enhancments it will be fine. As long as they dont go way out of bounds like Indian jone with freakin alien crap. Stick with ED1 and 2, dont go south into the comedy section and make this like part 3. A little funny here and there like in 1 and 2 with alot of gore and horror. Those movies made him and can continue the legacy of Ashley Williams.
Maybe they could do what they was talking about and do a jason vs freddy vs Ash like in the comics? I think it would be interesting.
