Now this is just getting into way geeky coolness. Marvel is now showing the old 1967 vintagly awesome ‘Spider-Man’ animated series! As you might know Marvel recently started showing the 70’s live-action Japanese Spider-Man series as well. The show first aired on ABC in 1967 the show obviously revolves around the scientific-minded teenager Peter Parker who, after being bitten by a radioactive spider, develops amazing strength and spider-like powers. He decides to become a crime-fighting, costumed super hero; all the while dealing with his personal problems and the insecurities resulting from being a teenager.

Each episode will include two parts and every thursday a new episode will be posted.

Episode 1 features “The Power of Dr. Octopus” (Dr. Octopus kidnaps Spider-Man in order to hold the city ransom.) and “Sub-Zero for Spidey” (Spider-Man battles ice creatures to save his city from freezing.).

That’s so cool! I used to tape the episodes off of Teletoon at like 2 am so I have like 3 VHS tapes full. It would bre nice to watch them in better quality now, though. I think they should also bring out the Spiderman and X-Men series from the 90’s/2000’s. The only X-men ones I could find were Days of Future Past and the episodes featured on that Wolverine Origins dvd.
