Spielberg says Transformers 2 is Bays Best Film
It looks like yesterday Michael Bay showed Steven Spielberg Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen over at Sony Pictures and according to Michael Bay Spielberg loved the movie! Here is what Bay says:
“Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said ‘It’s awesome’ He felt this movie was better then the first – and probably my best, who knows – at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it.”
So Steven Spielberg thinks that Transformers: Revenge of the fallen is Michael Bays best film. That is a pretty big compliment. I could see that for the fact there really isn’t much to go off of. Bay is a fantastic action/explosion director and he has a great eye for visuals and is a master as extreme hyper editing techniques. Seeing that Transformers allows him to do everything he loves beyond the extreme I can see this possibly being his greatest achievement for what he does. If that doesn’t get you excited for Transformers 2 I don’t know what will. I can’t wait to see it.
Bay goes on to say a new trailer for the film has been cut and it will be attached to ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ on May 1st. So it you didn’t have a reason to watch it before then there is a reason.

Michael Bay’s best film is like winning the gold medal at the Special Olympics; yeah it’s cool, but you’re still retarded.
Snivellus may have a good point, but if the Transformers series was an event at the special olympics it would be the triathalon. This may be the greatest movie ever
wow, Snivellus. that was really funny, and witty!
NNNNOOOOOOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!
Retarded Translates to slow, we all have are slow moments, but what you said makes no sense at all Snivellus.
I’m with Snivellus.
Also, the first Transformers was horrible, so I’m not putting much hope into the next one.
Big robots and explosions…how can you go wrong? Oh, wait…um….Okay, hopefully this next one will be better, but most likely it’ll be chock full of so much CG robot eye-candy as to be a complete overkill and rendered meaningless.
yea i didn’t really like the first one either. too much attempted humor that wasn’t funny bad boys 2 is better. I’ll see this because the CG is impressive and fun to watch on a big (digital) screen
