Thor must be played by a Nordic/Swedish
It´s kind of our thing up here i the cold north,all the vikinga shit as Midgård and Asgård/history we have!;P It would be awesome too see Alexander play The "Assa-Gud" Thor!
Perhaps Oden can be played by Stellan Skarsgård,Alexanders father!:D

OMG – Alexander Skarsgard is the only person that can and should play the part of Thor! The man can act as well, he’s part is much bigger in the True Blood series this season and all doubt about his acting skills will be removed. He’s the logical choice for Thor and on a side note he makes a excellent vampire!

He may “look” the part, but i doubt if he can ACT the part. He doesn’t seem like the kind of actor who can carry a movie. He is not like Christopher Reeve who was born to play Superman.

There are movies who fail because they chose to get an actor who looks the part rather than someone who can act. Masters of the Universe, anyone? Punisher Warzone? The actor who played Frank Castle in Warzone looks perfect, but he cannot act. Thomas Jane didn’t look the part, but he did pull it off (to a certain degree).

Having seen him in Kill Your Darlings (Where he played a transvetite)Zoolander (Where he played a brainless, air head model who was blown up) Generation Kill (Where he portrayed real life marine Brad Corbet) and now in True Blood – this man has some serious acting chops, not to mention he more than just looks the part! This yummy swede has been my dream to play Thor since i heard they were making the movie and i can only hope this turns out to be:

He doesn’t have the clout to put a Jackson/Rourke move on them. This would be huge for his career – wouldn’t be worried about the money, anyway.

The guy certainly looks the part. I’ve never seen True Blood so I don’t know what kind of actor he is. I was always hoping for Karl Urban (Eomer from LOTR).

See, True Blood hasn’t been shown in the UK yet, so I don’t know what this guy’s like. But he *looks* the part, so from what I can see here, he’s the best physical fit so far.
