It was announced yesterday that director Robert Rodriguez has a few films on his plate that he wants to eat up. ‘Predators’, ‘Nerverackers’, ‘Sin City 2′, ‘The Jetsons’, and ‘Machete’.

If you have seen the movie ‘Grindhouse’, which Rodriguez and Tarantino put together then you saw a little mock trailer thrown in there for a film called ‘Machete’, which just looked insanely bad-ass. This will now be made into a full on grindhouse motion picture that Rodriguez will co-direct with his longtime editor Ethan Maniquis, based on the script Rodriguez wrote a while ago. They are looking to start shooting this June in Austin.

I thought that Rodriguez’s next project would be his sci-fi action movie ‘Nerverackers’ but I guess he will just have to get to that after he is done with Machete. And just so you know Danny Trejo will reprise his role which he played in the original trailer.

‘Machete’ is being produced and financed by Overnight Productions. This will be his first non-studio movie that he has directed since his first film ‘El Mariachi’.

This is going to be one hell of movie.
