Viking Film Trailer for VALHALLA RISING is a Must Watch
Where in the hell did this awesome movie come from!? This trailer was my first exposure to the film ‘Valhalla Rising’ and now I am infected with the thrill of seeing it. This is one of those trailers that gave me goosebumps after watching it. It’s the kind of story that I love to see get made into a movie. Valhalla Rising was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn of Denmark, who has made other films such as ‘Bronson’ and the ‘Pusher’ trilogy. This movie follows a group of vikings on a journey, and it looks absolutely astounding!
The official plot summary is as follows:
For years, One-Eye, a mute warrior of supernatural strength, has been held prisoner by the chieftain Barde. Aided by a boy, Are, he kills his captor and together they escape, beginning a journey into the heart of darkness. On their flight from bounty hunters, One-Eye and Are board a Viking vessel, but the ship is soon engulfed by an endless fog that first disintegrates as they sight an unknown land. As the new land reveals its secrets and the Vikings meet a ghastly fate, One-Eye discovers his true self.

This definitely looks good. Cannot wait to check it out.
Now that’s what a viking movie looks like.
Yes! This is everything a Viking movie should be!
Good god that looks awesome!!!
Is this going to theaters?
its Odin. duh.
Odin wasnt a mute, nor was he considered a warrior, poetry and art and magic were some of his main traits. But you might still be right, looks good though. I will be watching it.
Actually Odin is associated with Wisdom, War, Battle and Death and poetry, art and magic as you say. When looking him up I found Odin is connected closely to the Horse and Spear. Matter of fact various pictures depict him holding a spear and riding his horse. I believe the mute angle does throw off the idea of Odin because it is true Odin does hold many conversations in literature. But other than that it will be interesting how they weave that into this idea, because either way they have to know most people are going to think Odin off the top of their head.
