BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE International Trailer
We have been following this new live-action version of ‘Blood: The Last Vampire’ since we first found out it was getting made. I loved the anime film that this movie is based off of, if you haven’t seen it you should definitely watch it. This trailer is much like the first couple trailers we have seen except is isn’t as bloody. To watch the blood splattering version Click Here.
On the surface, Saya is a stunning 16-year-old, but that youthful exterior hides the tormented soul of a 400-year-old “halfling.” Born to a human father and a vampire mother, she has for centuries been a loner obsessed with using her samurai skills to rid the world of vampires, all the while knowing that she herself can survive only on blood like those she hunts. When she is sent onto an American military base in Tokyo by the clandestine organization she works for, Saya immediately senses that this may be her opportunity to finally destroy Onigen, the evil patriarch of all vampires. Using her superhman strength and her sword, she begins to rid the base of its evil infestation in a series of spectacular and elaborate showdowns. However, it is not until she forms her first human friendship in centuries with the young daughter of the base’s general that Saya learns of her greatest power over Onigen may well be her ability for human connection. Looks pretty cool
Who cares about the story. Lolita ninjas fighting! Yay! That should just be the title of the movie.
Tiiiiiiiiight!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I’d like to see a hot asian schoolgirl in a ninja suit kicking butt, I can only shake my head.
The only saving grace for bad movies like this and countless others is that there are atleast a half million idiots out there (and that’s a very, very, -very- underestimation) that will pay money to watch it – ensuring the unholy makers of the film pocket at the very least, several hundred thousand dollars.
Would they be the opposite to those millions of brain dead people that like big explosions, hot chicks and very little storyline. Those same people that fund the studio’s in Hollywood, to produce countless sequels, remakes and unoriginal ripped off copies of Japanese Horror. Case in point – The Grudge, The Ring and the travesty; that is to be Hollywood’s version of Battle Royale. I’ll stick to Asian movie makers, over the Hollywood rip off’s.
basically blade with some wak little asian slut… get outta here
Hm. I’m kind of torn between saying that this looks pretty cool or just going for the obvious wtf.
@Krodar
“Would they be the opposite to those millions of brain dead people that like big explosions, hot chicks and very little storyline.”
***You are asking me if the group of people I described previously that are stupid enough to go watch bad B list flicks the opposite of brain dead people that like big explosions, hot chicks and very little storyline? I…don’t get it. The opposite of idiocy is generally referred to as common sense and intelligence, not brain death. Therefore, trying to connect the two as opposites is a waste of time…defeating your statement entirely.
“Those same people that fund the studio’s in Hollywood, to produce countless sequels, remakes and unoriginal ripped off copies of Japanese Horror.”
***Those same people are who now? I’m still confused. I just described the people I am assuming you are referring to with the words “…unholy film makers…” so you are pretty much wasting your breath because I just gone done saying the same thing. That is the B list film industry – they push several low budget movies through Hollywood knowing that there will be enough stupid people out there to where they will turn a profit on the movie.
“Case in point – The Grudge, The Ring and the travesty; that is to be Hollywood’s version of Battle Royale. I’ll stick to Asian movie makers, over the Hollywood rip off’s.”
***Hollywood has ripped off a lot of ideas and movies in remakes and reboots of previous story lines. So does music (especially rap with all their really bad remixes) but are you going to hate them too?
What it all boils down to is this: do we blame the film makers for all these bad movies? Or the audience for demanding them. Is the Asian industry making better movies than America? I don’t think so. Not that they don’t make good movies, but if you look at the highest grossing films in the world of all time, you’ll see maybe two or three foreign films in the top 100. Or top 200 for that matter.
YOU may think something is better. But that is your opinion. And opinions are like assholes – everybody has one.
Ultimately, the demand of the public is what will fuel the types of movies film makers create. If people demand B-list crap, you will see a flood of those style of movies.
