Now Here is the DEADPOOL we should have Seen in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Now this is what Deadpool should have looked like in X-Men Origins: Wolverine! It looks like what the artist did here was take a G.I. Joe movie photo of Snake Eyes and then just “Deadpooled” him out in Photoshop. If we get a Deadpool spin-off, it has to be badass, rated ‘R’, and look something like this.

I wasn’t sure Deadpool could look that badass in live action, but this proves he can

and it makes me that much more annoyed that ‘Origins’ portrayed the actor to so little of his potential

  2. BeardedYeti on May 4th, 09

I was ok with Wade Wilson just as Wade Wilson, with no mask (at least for Wolverine: Origins).

If they do a spin-off, then the costume needs to be in there, as does about two hours of hilarious one-liners and kickass swordplay.

You guys don’t know what you are talking about. Look at all the powers he had! That was awesome! He kicked major ass!

*picks self up from floor* I’ll respond when I stop drooling.

In the movie, they called Deadpool up into action before he was even done being worked on so it would have been weird if he’s had a nifty outfit. It would have been nice if he’d had a mask though, because the sewed-shut mouth was creepy!

    TIGHT. i want a deadpool movie… NOW.

  7. femme*fatale on May 4th, 09

Amazing, really hope the do a spin off. They’ve got to keep Ryan Reynolds and give him a chance to show what he can do, he was so wasted! Anyone know if gambits going to get a spin off?

    No, No, NO!

    Deadpool FAIL.

That is Snake Eyes in a really BAD deadpool costume. C’MON people. Deadpool has style and panache as well as bad-ass. He’s not some grim Punisher type. He’s FUNNY and quirky.

This is just juvenile one-dimentional crap. Deadpool is deeper than some bad-ass wanna-be in the costume.

IMHO I think that’s a most excellent and badass representation of the Merc with a mouth! I might just have jizzed in my pants! XD Total WIN!

  10. Lofty on May 4th, 09

Awesome – Ive seen one of these before, where they photoshopped Snake Eyes to look like Deadpool

and MRS EVIL GENIUS above – Deadpool has moments like this where he is incomparably bad-ass…its AFTER that he makes the jokes…

how is it that in Dark Knight they managed to get Batman to look badass and yet with the idea of remaining ‘realistic’ they stuck our man Ryan Reynolds in some khakis and gave him 10 seconds of screen time as Wade…

hmmm MY COMMON SENSE IS TINGLING

as long as they keep his “comics awareness,” I’m in

like Ryan Reynolds said – you can’t do better than the source material

If Fox makes a Deadpool movie we are in for another round of crap onscreen. Marvel movies made by Marvel (Spidey 3 excepted) are great. Origins was awful – Wade was great but I have yet to see Deadpool onscreen – whatever that was as NOT Deadpool.

EH eHmmmmmm LADIES nd Germs! I know I know, the movie wasn’t exactly…w00t w00t and a bottle of bubbly, and that’s ok. The important thing is that at least the TRUE believers out there know what the real ME is like. And sure I’m a dude sitting at a computer acting as though I’m Deadpool, but it’s because of his/my deep admiration of him. BTW, look out for the one secret ending, it has Wade (Me) in a black coat walking to the severed head of Weapon XI… Wade picks it up and asks, ” What the hell are you supposed to be?” BANG!!! XI wasn’t me, I wasn’t him, we’re ourselves he’s dead and I’m… uh.. well Deadpool, I guess, haha! Anyway before I go I wanna say, Miss Jane, I love you. Night kiddos!

The problem with taking a character as interesting and complex as Deadpool (for surely he was very, very intricate – most people who haven’t followed his comics avidly wouldn’t know that though) is that he is definately more than just a support character.

Deadpool would have stolen the show from Wolverine if they had given the character and Ryan Reynolds a chance to do so. That is probably a good reason why we did not see as much of Deadpool as we would have liked.

With that said, let us hope that Weapon XI was -not- that actual Deadpool. A character as charismatic and potentially lottery winning (in terms of money they could make off of his movie) I would like to think they wouldn’t ruin the character with their own idea of what he should be like.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine did exactly what it set out to do. Create an action-packed, entertaining movie driving further into the story of the most popular X-man from the previous trilogy.

Now, for those of us true believers who are real comic book fans, you’d know Wolverine isn’t even one of the most complex characters – and certainly not one of my favorites.

However, for the vast majority of fans out there, they don’t know much about Marvel comics or the X-men for that matter other than what they’ve seen in movies.

I believe the makers of the movie capitalized on Wolverine and made some of the others look stupid (like Cyclops – who happens to have a very interesting back story that people probably don’t know about). I don’t agree with that, but oh well…atleast they are making movies about all the super heroes I’ve always wished I could watch.

BeardedYeti – Agreed. I was prepared to hate what they’d done in ‘Origins’ but I didn’t.

I do hope for more funnies in another film though.

sweeet…I would so love a Deadpool movie done properly. Pardon me while i go and drool over the picture some more….

Deadpool, weapon XI, wan't completed in the movie. That's the whole point.
