This sounds absolutely terrible…i can understand bringing a classic to a new generation but ruining something from my childhood, bad juju Will and go figure that they wouldn't cast anybody other than Jayden Smith me on really. I hope that this thing flops big time that way we don't have to see anymore of our 80's classics all jacked up, whats next the back to the future trilogy or the goonies remakes lets pray that it fails miserably other wise we could be in for a 80's movie make over gone completely wrong.

Interesting, that they call a movie that plays in Bejing 'Karate' Kid….maybe they should read up a bit on Karate history before…

Dude. It may be ok. I wouldn’t trip too much. There may be a chance it won’t suck 2 much. I have been let down a lot. Spiderman3,Superman Returns,Xmen, Bad Boys 2, Wild Wild West. But all that aside. Smith sounds like he’s butchering a classic,(and it sounds stank !!!!) But you never know. It may work out. I was skeptical about Transformers, a tall Wolverine, but they worked out fine. But I totally agree…if it is that different….I want them to call it something else…maybe…Dr.Karate Dre.
