New GAMER Movie Trailer looks Really Freakin Good

Yes! This trailer makes Gerard Butler’s ‘Gamer’ movie look awesome! The story seems really interesting and the concept is somewhat original, and it looks like it will have a great amount of action. ‘Gamer’ comes from the same guys that brought us the ‘Crank’ movies Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, except this movie looks like it will be much better. There is no doubt the movie will be fun. It also star Michael C. Hall from ‘Dexter’, Milo Ventimiglia, Alison Lohman, John Leguizama, Efren Ramirez, Terry Crews, Kyra Sedwick, Zoe Bell and Ludacris.
Official plot synopsis: Gamer is a high-concept action thriller set in the near future, a time when mind-control technology has taken society by storm. Humans control other humans in a mass-scale, multiplayer online game. Reclusive billionaire Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) has created the controversial form of entertainment, “Slayers,” a hugely popular game that allows millions to act out their innermost fantasies and desires – online – in front of a global audience. Gaming has evolved into a terrifying new dimension… mind control… mind manipulation… people playing people!
At the center is Kable (Gerard Butler), the superstar and cult hero of “Slayers,” the savage, ultra-violent first-person shooter game. Kable is controlled by Simon, a young gamer with a rock star status who continues to defy all odds by guiding Kable to victory each week. Taken from his family, imprisoned and forced to fight against his will, the modern day gladiator must survive long enough to escape the game to free his family, regain his identity, and to save mankind from Castle’s ruthless technology.

I think it will be better than Death Race. But Yes there is a similarity.
It kinda has a matrix meets running man feel to it. But minus some of the cheesy parts that were bread and butter in late 80's early 90's action flicks I like this marriage, this movie looks cool as shit and I wanna see it.

Yep, I'm thirding the Death Race (remake) feel to it. Also, is it just me, or is Dexter dancing? (just after the "Michal C Hall" credit comes up, it really looks like he's giving it jazz hands…)
I think Dexter was dancing, but there were scenes of a club in the trailer so maybe he's controlling someone in the club? Just a thought.

Jesus people. Get over it, it's not like Hollywood is brimming with new and fantastic original ideas there days. The original The Fast and the Furious is Point Break with cars and not surfboards.

This looks interesting, I've been a fan of Gerard Butler in actiony type sequences for some time now, i do love to see buff, sexy men kicking some major ass. And since i'm a FPS gamer kinda gal this appeals me to me on that level as well! Who needs great writing when you have explosions, vicious violence ending in bloody death and completely uncalled for gun fight scenes!
