Monica Bellucci Cast in THE SORCERERS APPRENTICE

Monica Bellucci has been cast as Nicolas Cage’s long lost love in his new Disney film that is currently in production ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.’ The name of her character is Veronica and she is a sorceress. Yeah, I can see her in this role, she looks like she could be a live-action Disney Sorceress. Too bad the the stuff we have seen from the movie so far looks like crap. 

The film follows a sorcerer by the name of Balthazar Blake who recruits and trains a young apprentice played by Jay Baruchel to help him fight the evil forces of darkness and an evil sorcerer played by Alfred Molina. The film takes place in modern-day Manhatten.

Bellucci is way to good to be playing Nic Cages Love interest. The movie is being directed by Jon Turtletaub and is scheduled to be released July 16, 2010.
