Judd Apatow’s FUNNY PEOPLE TV Spot

funny-people-poster1

I have a great little TV spot to show from Judd Apatow’s new film ‘Funny People’.  This movie just looks like it is going to be one of those lovable comedies. The film has a great cast to go along with it as well. Adam Sandler, Seth Rogan, Leslie, Mann, Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman, and Jonah Hill.

George is a very successful stand up comedian who learns that he has an untreatable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. Ira is a struggling up-and-coming stand up comedian who works at a deli and has yet to figure out his onstage persona. One night, these two perform at the same club and George takes notice of Ira. George hires Ira to be his semi-personal assistant as well as his friend.

‘Funny People’ will be Adam Sandler’s best film in a long time. I don’t remember the the last time I laughed during one of his movies. The guy is obviously funny he just needs to direct his talents and energy in the right project, and this is it.

Enjoy the trailer!

Here's the thing. I realize comedy can sometimes be a matter of personal taste, and I like to think I laugh at just about everything, from obscure jokes about physicists to fart gags – but the trailer did nothing for me. Nary a titter passed my lips. What gives? I really enjoyed Apatow's other flicks (directed and produced), and feel ready to give Sandler a chance again after his string of one-note performances, but … meh. Am I suddenly H.I., or do I need to see another cut of the trailer?

BTW – the filtered word was fairly innocent – imagine twitter without the w.
