Check it out gang! The first trailer has been unleashed for Guy Ritchie’s new film Sherlock Holmes! It looks much better than I was expecting. It is definitely a Guy Ritchie film, there is a ton of fast paced witty humor. Robert Downey Jr. seems like he makes a great Sherlock Holmes and the film definitely takes the character down a different, more action packed road. It looks like it will be a lot of fun.
The movie also stars Jude Law, Rachel McAdams and Mark Strong.
In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
It looks like Ritchie has incorporated some of Zack Snyder’s slow motion fight scene style into the film as well. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think about it. Enjoy!
Ok here we go a Sherlock Holmes movie by Guy Ritchie…Its like cleaning poop with more poop you will never get it out, And another thing why is Guy Ritchie doing this its like come on….But i did like Snatch that was a really cool movie and well Robert Downey Jr. is cool so ill see it….
That looks absolutely fantastic! That hammer throwing moment was fantastic, as was the post title moment. Count me in!
I'm game! I think it will all depend on timing and what is out when this hit's the big screen. Maybe this will be Ritchie's return to decent movies now that Madonna is done sucking his creative soul.
ok, a few things.
1.) Guy Richie has been doing the slow mo fight scenes since Lock Stock. It worked then, it works now.
2.) Rock and Rolla was Guys return after Madonna and it was pretty good stuff.
3.) This looks like a great film and will surprise everyone. (i hope)

Well, since Ritchie and Madona divorced in Nov 2008 and Rock n Rolla was out in Oct, this would be his first film since then. And, I don’t know anyone who saw Rock n Rolla, it looked like more of the same.

good stuff – another decent retelling of sher homeboy. i wish spielberg had done more with the young sher homeboy. downey exceeds all expectations at this point. cheers!
EXCITED!!!! I love Robert Downey Jr and have been a fan of Sherlock Holmes since I was about 6 years old…this looks epic and awesome and did I mention I'm EXCITED! Definitely going to be first in line…ps I completley agree with mary_jane

Okay I take back what I said earlier. Upon further investigation i.e. reading the script. This movie is probably going to have some sort of deal with some toy company and a fast food joint. Believe it! LOL
It just gets better every time I watch it!
