Twilights NEW MOON Movie Poster

picture-28

OK all you Twilighters this is for you. Here is the first poster for the ‘The Twilight Saga’s: New Moon’ movie. I recently picked up Twilight for my wife, we have had it for quite some time now, and I still have not seen it yet. I’m sure I will eventually see it.

So the poster below features the three main characters from the movie, but apparently not the book. From what I have heard Edward doesn’t even show up until the end of the book. The filmmakers have obviously changed that little detail and most likely put Edward in every scene of the movie because the girls seem to can’t get enough of this guy. If you are a fan of the series do you care that they changed up your beloved story for the movie, or are you just happy you get to look at Robert Pattinson for two more hours no matter what they do to the story?

After Bella Swan recovers from her run in with a vampire with a lust for the hunt and her blood, she celebrates her birthday with Edward Cullen and his “Family”. However, after a paper-cut during her birthday party results in Bella’s blood being spilt, which the newest vampire in the family to become a vegetarian finds hard to swallow, the Cullen’s decide to leave there home in the north west of Washington for Bella’s sake. Completely devastated, Bella finds friendship with Jacob Black, and also realizes that putting her life in danger helps her get through this tough time, yet this is not the only danger she is in…

The movie also stars Kristin Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, and Michael Sheen. So what are your thoughts?

Well vampire's do suck!!! I could not stand the book and when i was in the movies seeing this movie i fell asleep….the hole vampire thing is been done one to many times and its getting to the point that movies and books don't need a plot to sell they just need a gimmick its just sad…But my girlfriend loves Twilight and well i lover her well i love that thing she has but i don't have you know..where babys come from….anyways Dakota Fanning is in this movie cool she's great!!!

they need to make Jacob taller. hes supposed to be like 6'5. i guess theyre ignoring the height factor all together, or theyre CGI-ing it in the movie. either way im telling myself the movie is going to suck so that maybe it will be good.
btw, the books really are good, but everybody judges it off of the movie. but honestly, when has a movie thats been made after a book been genuinely good?? for serious

The Vampire thing is not done yet, you can bet on that. With dumbass movies like this one yeah. As long as there is sewer water, there are always those who are thirsty for it. LOL

  6. Toni on May 19th, 09

there are 4 books so I'm guessing there will be 4 films

Edward isn't physically in the middle of the book. BUT she DOES often hear his voice, think she sees him, etc (hallucinates) while he's gone. SO I think they're going to have him be there as a symbolic ghosty but not dead yet hallucination guy throughout the movie. And for someone who personally HATES Edward (Go team Jacob) and I didn't like the first movie much. I think it's OK for them to do that as long as he's appearing in that context aka you can see him but he's NOT REALLY there. That's all good then :D

I was soooo disappointed in the theater. I saw it the day it came out and instead of really watching and enjoying ourselves, my niece and I found ourselves laughing and poking fun at it. The movies was just not very good. And you should DEFINITELY not judge the books by them. Twilight was a great series, this coming from someone in their mid twenties who was forced to read it because I don't do vampy love stories. Good book. Bad movie – I'll watch the second one when it comes to the $2 theater so I don't waste my money…. oh, and I'm only watching it because Jacob's in it and Taylor Lautner was the ONLY good thing in the first movie.

twilight is more of a chick flick than it is a vampire film. i loved the books. i will not be happy if edward is present during the majority of the movie. the whole point of this book was to show her despair without him, how they really are bonded and are each other's missing piece, and let the bond between her and jacob grow without edward's interference.

There are going to be 4 films, I believe thats what they signed up for once they saw how huge the reaction was by the fans of the books.

As for Twilight books they are a great simple read, and many women/girls/guys get swept up in the emotion of it. Book adaptations are never as good as the book, as everyone gets lost in their own imagination. So to find characters who suit everyone is near on impossible. The film was an effort but if its taken on value of being a the basic love story, its kind of sweet. It is more for teens but by all account New Moon is darker and with a different director, so maybe they'll push the story a little bit further and the actors a little bit harder than looking pretty.

As for Vampire thing being done.. You can say that about EVERY genre, if you don't like that kind of film/book. Don't watch or read them and certainly don't discredit it when you never even gave it a chance in the first place. Open minds make a better judgement. :)

Well, I don't think they should change the story too much. even though she should hear his voice, there shouldn't be copious amounts of flashback sequences. I wouldn't mind seeing a little of what Edward was up to though. or at least the rest of the Cullens. and I'm not gonna lie, Jacob is SO not my favorite character.

Does a bigger budget meant that they're gonna be more Sparkley? Bigger and better sparkling vampires.
