New TRANSFORMERS 2 IMAX Movie Poster

Here is a new ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ IMAX movie poster. Because if your going to go see a big budget special effects action spectacular films with battling robots, then you have to see it in IMAX. I understand there is a huge boycott with IMAX right now due to the screen size differences, but come on… you didn’t already know there was a difference in the screen sizes? One guy mentions it and finally everyone else notices and makes a big deal out of it? Fact of the matter is digital IMAX is a much better viewing experience than the normal regular movie theater, the image is crisp, sharp and awesome, thats what people are paying for with IMAX. So yes, I will be watching Transformers 2 in digital IMAX.

Anyway, here is the new movie poster featuring Bumblebee, Enjoy!

I dunno, the poster looks kind of, well, crappy. Definitely not the best graphics I've ever seen.

Dude, it you had read why there is a protest about the IMAX you would understand that there are some that are claiming IMAX when they are not actually the original IMAX size, but only slightly larger than normal movies screens. But they are still charginf full IMAX prices. So if you want to pay full IMAX prices for only slightly larger screen, more power to you. Just read the whole complaint next time before you comment on it.

There's also the fact that a lot of IMAX movies aren't actually shot on IMAX film, since it's too costly. Instead they shoot on 35mm and blow it up to IMAX size using an extensive upconversion process. Not that that necessarily cheapens the whole experience, but more often than not, you're paying extra for no qualitative gain in resolution.

Digital IMAX isn't really worth the extra price in my opinion, it isn't all that noticeably different. I'm definitely going to try to see TF2 on the real deal giant IMAX screen.
