Watched the first 3 episodes of the first series last night and really enjoyed them. Reminded me of a more adult version of Twilight (Yawn…) with a bit of Twin Peaks wierdness thrown in. Looking forward to watching more.

It looks really good! I never read the books, and it took a bit for the show to grow on me, but I loved it by the end of the first season.

Do you think Vampires ever have to go to the dentist? All that blood can't be good for the enamal on their canines. Also, do they ever get gas??? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Alan Ball has said that he's still going to follow the major plotlines from the books. The first season stays very true to the plotlines of the first book in the Southern vampire series and so far, the second season looks like it's going to follow the same trend. (YaY for Living Dead in Dallas)

Sure there have been some small tweaks – adding characters to the show that in the books were very small parts and making the major characters – but since the books are first person and focus almost completely on Sookie herself, I'm pleased that the characters have been beefed up and added.

All in all i think that I've watched this clip around 15 times (Can you tell I'm obsessed?) and it really doesn't get anything but better everytime i see it.

This is how vampires are supposed to be, bloody, violent, cold and sometimes – romantic.

June 14th can't come fast enough!!
