DreamWorks Animation has unveiled some of there up and coming projects that we can looks forward to. Obviously they are not a the calibre of storytelling that Pixar is but they still manage to put out some decent animated movies. My favorite of them so far has been ‘Kung-Fu Panda’. Everything else has been OK. From here on out all of Dreamworks animated movie will be developed in 3-D because Katzenberg loves the idea that it is the future of filmmaking, and maybe it is.

So here are some of the films that DreamWorks will be unleashing on the world in the coming years.

ODERMIND - Nov. 5, 2010, which will star Robert Downey Jr. as a supervillain who finds life a little dull after vanquishing good-guy rival Metro Man. Tina Fey will also be in the superhero themed film.

SHREK FOREVER AFTER – Which will be directed by Mike Mitchell. Personally I could care less about another Shrek film I didn’t even see the last one that came out.

DRAGON - Set in the world of Vikings and dragons, it centers on an awkward teen who befriends an injured dragon, which will star Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, and Jonah Hill.

KUNG FU PANDA: THE KABOOM OF DOOM – June 3, 2011, Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman will be back for this sequel which probably wont be as good as the first one.

THE GAURDIANS - Which is based on book series that hasn’t even been published yet. The story unites characters every child knows like  Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Jack Frost and the Sandman  who will defend the world from a Bogeyman-like villain.

PUSS IN BOOTS - March 30, 2012, which will be a Shrek Spin-off movie of the popular cat. Antonio Banderas returns, and Salma Hayek will lend her voice to love interest Kitty. ‘Shrek the Third’ helmer Chris Miller is onboard to direct.

MADAGASCAR 3 – Which would relocate the critters from Africa to Europe via a traveling circus.

And here are three original films that they are currently working on developing.

THE CROODS – A caveman Comedy

TRUCKERS - A story of miniature creatures stuck living in a department store.

SUPER SECRET GHOST PROJECT – That asks what ghosts think about humans.

DreamWorks animation is crazy busy right now, its good to know they have job security. I am a huge fan of animation and I hope these films turn out well. Hopefully they don’t get lost in the technology of making these movies and loose site of the story.

So, what do you think of the line-up?

Odermind sounds alright…but that might just be because I'm a big fan of Rober Downey Jr….and we really don't need all of these Shrek movies. Seriously, give up the franchise already

Lots of sequels and a couple movies from Lilo & Stitch director Chris Sanders. That's an aggressive slate for a company that's been actually tracking a higher box office tally than Pixar. Oobermind, Guardians, Dragon, and the KFP sequel all sound interesting, but with all the Shrek sequels I'm shocked there's nothing on the slate for a MvA 2.

the truckers one must be inspired by a book from terry pratchett, and he is a god among mens. really excited, more than anything else on the list

true the truckers is the only film there i would like to see, and simply because it would be so like the terry pratchet book.
does anyone else think that the rest besides this one film is all generic comedy?
because apart from the last 2 (the last one has an original idea although it could be generic like the rest) the are all have the variety and diversity of tofu.
    blergh!
