I thought the opening sequence was atrociously bad, the story felt too narrow in scope, and really didn't grab me at all. I also felt that the main characters - who we're supposed to form some sort of attachment to - were completely detestable. What an intriguing direction to take this "origins" tale! And it keeps alive the question of the "Daniel" the Cylons were always speaking of.
