The BLACK DEATH is Coming

The Black Death. I’m sure you have heard of it was only one of the deadliest pandemics in human history. It sweped through Europe between the years 1348 and 1350. Historians say the plague actually took out an estimated 30% to 60% of Europe’s population. It may have reduced the world’s population from 450 million to between 350 and 375 million in 1400. Thats mind blowing! What a scary ass time that must have been.
The reason I bring this up is because a movie is being that takes place during the deadly Black Plague. The movie is being made in the UK and Germany and it stars Sean Bean who you might know as Boromir from ‘The Lord of The Rings’. He play’s a character named Ulric who leads a group of knights that are taken into the marshes lead by a young monk named Osmund. Some things people should just accept and be thankful for because the reason they journey into the marshes is because their village has not been affected by the Black Death and for some strange reason they want to venture out and find out why. Why can’t they just leave well enough alone, there is no reason to try and invite it in. While on their little field trip they come across a beautiful necrmancer or one who brings back the dead. Her name is Langvia and like all things beautiful she reveals her true nature and offers Osmund his hearts desire, he must choose between the love of his God and the woman he loves.
I love the fact that this is a original movie concept! Again, leave it up to the independent films to lead the way in original story telling. I love the concept of the film and can’t wait to see it! The film has been picked up 12 overseas distributors but has yet to get picked up in the U.S. I don’t see why anybody would not want to pick this film up.
Here are some pictures from the movie. Check them out and tell us what you think about this new Black Death film.

I'm so freaking glad this isn't a remake, and that has me excited. Also the movie concept isn't bad.
However, the poster looks so cheesy and cliche. "In an age of darkness, one man will face the ultimate battle against evil." The movie concept, from what you've written, makes that seem quite misleading. The line itself is also quite cliche. :/ There's so many movies you can pick out and apply that line to. It doesn't really tell you anything about the film. And I know he's a monk, but the 3/4 view from behind in all black holding a sword with the rosary hanging from his wrist just reads so corny to me.
Anyone else notice the sword in the movie poster is the same sword from "Excalibur"?
