Ryan Reynolds Will Get The DEADPOOL Movie He Wants

Hey Gang! Ryan Reynolds is back and talking about his Deadpool spin-off movie again. This is a movie that needs to be done right. None of this weak sauce Wolverine stuff. Perhaps FOX has learned their lesson and they won’t make anymore bad movies, and stop making bad decisions. By the way Reynolds talks in this recent interview, it looks like he is going to get the Deadpool movie he wants to make. Here is what he has to say.

“I love it, because I get to be involved, and I’m such a huge fan of the character. I get to be the authentication police, in a weird way. To their credit — the studio’s credit — they want to make an authentic ‘Deadpool’ movie; they want to make it as close to the source material as possible.”

I have to say, I am very happy to hear that. But I assume that the studio will want to get as PG-13 close to the material as possible. I don’t have a problem with that as long as the story is told properly. Remember ‘The Dark Knight’ was PG-13, but then so was ‘Wolverine’.  But it looks like the studio has agreed to some Deadpool terms.

“He’s going to be the Merc with the Mouth, [we’re going to give] all those answers that everyone wants. He’s going to have the scarred-up face, he’s going to be in the suit — and, it’s going to be incredible.”

Sounding good so far? Reynolds seems very excited about what he is going to get to do. He just needs to make sure the right people come on board to develop the movie properly.

“Right now, it’s just a question of trying to figure out what is the spine of the story. Who is the villain? What does Wade and/or Deadpool want? And how do you tell that story? Are we going to see flashbacks to his old life, flash-forwards, present-day? We’re just trying to figure that stuff out.”

He seems very confident in his Deadpool movie, which is a good sign. I really want this movie to be everything Ryan Reynolds wants it to be. I think this has a chance. Because why in the hell would FOX want to make yet another crapfest X-Men movie?

What are you all thinking?

sick. to my excitement, this sounds like it just might work out

What he's saying sounds really good, and I hope he gets his wish, but I don't really trust this kinda talk, because Hugh Jackman sounded exactly the same way when talking about Wolverine, and we see how that turned out. But you know, all I care about with this one is that the action is balls to the wall and Deadpool is hilarious, and I think that shouldn't be too hard to do. I hope.

Yeah I hope he isnt just saying what he wants to happen, because that could be completely different from what actually would happen. Unfortunately FOX is all about mass audience, not staying true to the story, or so it has seemed from their recent endeavors

It sounds like it has A great chance to be A damn good movie

    Enough with the PG-13 movies.
    Make an unrated version
Batman pulled it off, but that was rare and the Director was the reason behind that. Good old fashion story telling!

Please dont screw (PG-13 word) this up!

Sadly, actors have as much clout as my dead gerbil regarding how a film gets made.
Ultimately it all boils down to the suits at Fox who want to put bums on seats – and these are the guys who know dick-all about doing the franchise justice.
I'll hold off on my whoopdee woos.

Deadpool is an awesome character. I hpoe what Reynolds is saying comes to pass. He is the perfect actor for the part after all. As long as FOX doesn't screw it up the movie should be amazing.

I agree. But Reynolds has said in the past that if he doesn't get the Deadpool movie he wants he will not do it.

Deadpool needs a great director for sure! If they get a that then we will have a solid movie. It just seems like there are not many great directors out there anymore. Kinda sad.

Reynolds' cred has been increasing in Hollywood lately and if The Proposal does well, he's a studio's dream: charming comedic actor with real acting chops that appeals to the 18-36 male demo (because he kicks ass) AND the 24 – 50 female demo. I HOPE they do this right. Wolverine soooo disappointed me with what they did with "Wade Wilson." We shall see, we shall see.
