This sounds almost like a DTV effort... rather than even a "real" remake. If this film is set in present day, and I assume it is... I have a few ideas of who the villains of this film will be. 1) North Korea or 2) Al Quaida "sleeper cell" or (and this is the real conservative wet dream) 3) a government organization/splinter group run amok... what if the tanks started rolling in on your turf, spoke the same language and looked like you, but just wanted you to give up your life and possessions? Does it makes sense? -does it need to? I find the original to be a great "guilty pleasure" and I will avoid this like I avoid Roadhouse 2. Casting looks a little thin.
