As you know Disney is currently making a modern day film fantasy film based in manhattan called ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ which loosely based on the classic version done in the animated ‘Fantasia’ movie only this one just doesn’t really look as good. I’m not really that excited for it. But here is your first real look at Monica Bellucci who plays a sorceress named Veronica in the story. Nicolas Cage plays the character Balthazar Blake who is a sorcerer who recruits and trains a young protege played by Jay Baruchel to help fight the forces of evil.
Bellucci looks great in the role, I hope the movie ends up being somewhat decent, it’s being directed by Jon Turtletaub who is the same guy that directed Cage in ‘National Treasure’. The movie is set to hit theaters July 16 2010. Check out the photos and tell us what you think!

I'm a fan of Monica Bellucci. I think she's absolutely stunning. But pairing her up with Nicholas Cage…? I'm not so sure about that.
