SMALLVILLE Casts Callum Blue as Zod

I am a huge fan of the TV series ‘Smallville’. Sure, got stuck in a rutt around season 3 but it has been better than ever. It looks like in the next 9th season of ‘Smallville’ the blue and red blur will have to battle it out with general Zod. I love who they have cast in this role. British actor Callum Blue joins the cast as a regular.
Blue has starred in show such as ‘Dead Like me’ which I really enjoyed up until the point they made that awful movie. he also starred in Showtimes ‘The Tudors’ and ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’.
I digg his style and I think he will fit in quite well with the rest of the Smallville cast. He’s just got that look. I can’t wait to see where they take this story.

I have nothing against this show as I've watched it off and on over the years. However, when I mentioned this article to some people today, the unanimous reaction was "that show's still on?" My area has no local CW affiliate and you have to go fishing on Cable or Satellite to find it. So I've missed most of the last couple of seasons. I missed Supernatural too. Always thought that was a cool show.
Callum is a good actor and I'm sure he'll do a great job as Zod.
I've been watching smallville on and off for the past however many years its been on and i didnt actually get totally hooked until last season, and I just about had a nerdgasm when i saw Zod's symbol at the end of the last episode. I'm sure this will be awesome–can't wait!
