I should have been more clear. I think that it was able to power past Up and that it crushed Land of the Lost by so much was the biggest shock. Heck, Land of the Lost had a safer rating (PG-13) and the marketing began with a Super Bowl trailer, not to mention it stared Will Ferrell, one of the biggest names in comedy. Even so, when a high-powered action movie or a star-studded film beats tracking by 10 million, that may not be too big of a shock, but an R-rated comedy with an unproven cast does so, I still think of that as a big surprise.
