new G.I. JOE: Rise of Cobra TRAILER aims for laughs… and misses

gi_joe68

Here’s a new trailer for the not so anticipated film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. You may have seen this trailer attached to Year One in theaters. In this trailer they try to show the comedic side of GI Joe. I must emphasize that ‘TRY’ is the keyword here. If you thought the movie was gonna be cheesy, then this new clip makes it look like a Chicago deep dish. Marlon Wayans and those effing Accelerator Suits get most of the screen time here

My excitement for this movie was already pretty low. Now with all the reports floating around that director Stephen Sommers was banned from the editing room, due to G.I. Joe’s horrible performance at test screenings, my expectations are lower than ever.

Of course I will go see this movie. Curiosity and the sheer fact that it’s G.I Joe up there on the big screen screen is enough for me to give it a chance. But even my hope that Snake Eyes will be this movie’s saving grace, is slowly and surely diminishing. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, it’s up to you now. Please pull through… please.

What side of the G.I Joe fence are you on? Are there any shreds of hope to hang on to? Let’s try to cheer each other up! If all else fails, Sienna Miller is ridiculously beautiful.

Oh i dont know it looks Good. i mean everything has a origin, The charecters in this are pros but as GI joes there knew so it makes sense that they seem awkward at first, The first 2 Mummy movies were Good, but Transformers i can not wait for.

So I guess we're supposed to be happy Baroness says the GI Joe catchphrase?

Well, I admit, I will laugh if someone says "Knowing is half the battle."

I'll catch it in a couple of years on HBO when I'm bored.

those suits just seem like a cheat, a way make the actors all ninjas like snake eyes…, Snake Eyes jumps over a freakin car without a damn suit…hehe

When they are dodging the rockets in their cheat suits, I cant help to think of IronHide in the Bay movie doing his little barrel roll in the street. So it kinda feels a bit old hat, if you know what I mean. that and the creepy lips on Snake eyes

It looks craptastic. I will catch it as a rental.

    PORKCHOP SANDWICHES!

I'm still iffy. I'll see it regardless, because I'm planning on watching all blockbusters this year, just for the hell of it, but really I'm just looking forward to what the hell Cobra will turn out to be.

They're probably saving Joseph Gordon-Levitt for last, because hell, he's the best actor out of the cast. (Christopher Ecchleston places second)
