Odin Cast in Marvel’s THOR?

I have no idea if this is true or not but we were sent a link to a little website called Bleedingcool. They say that British Actor Brian Blessed has been cast in Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Thor’ movie as Thor’s daddy the great a powerful Odin.

Blessed has already been involved with a couple of Branagh’s films such as ‘Hamelt’ and ‘As You Like It’. The guy looks like he could take on the role of either Odin or even Volstagg who is one of the Warriors Three.

He has got the look and the talent to pull off either of these characters. So I guess we will see what is announced in the near future. What do you think?

    Getting a well-known and respected character actor like Brian Blessed onboard is a great way to drum up support for this film. The more I hear about it, the more excited I get.

    Might be too old for Volstagg.. but he could totally rock either.. I'd see John Rhys Davies as Volstagg if Blessed plays Odin…
