Do you know what we dot get enough of in this current cinema market? Mexican Science Fiction. 2033 is a new Sci-Fi film set in Mexico city and…you guessed it…in the year 2033. And to answer your next question….yes it is in Spanish, but with subtitles. I know there are many people out there who hate watching films with subtitles and if you are one of those people, all I have to say is…you are missing out. There are many great Non-English films out there. Like Let The Right One In, the original La Femme Nikita, The Orphanage, and Pan’s Labyrinth.

The film deals with an oppressive military government that takes religion and freedom of expression away. It is set in a futuristic neo-Mexico City that is renamed Villaparaiso. There are some cool visuals and the story has quite a bit of potential. Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
